Elated. Humbled. Challenged. Spent.
Just a few words that describe how I feel right now. Why? This morning we wrapped-up our Ignite weekend. We had close to a hundred students, leaders and volunteers participate, and it was amazing! I don't feel like writing a normal paragraph, so let's do this word by word.
I'm ELATED because...
I've heard of students and volunteers who were rocked by the truth of God's Word!
I get to talk to 4 students this week about their new commitment to Jesus Christ!
We baptized 7 students last night!
Students told me that they're goal is to have their entire school come to MERGE (middle school)!
I see a passion for Christ growing in some key student leaders like they've never experienced!
I'm HUMBLED because...
God trusts me enough to work with these students.
He gives me the opportunity to pour into some great volunteers.
I have the privilege of serving at the greatest church on Earth.
I'm CHALLENGED because...
This weekend is a spring board, not a resting place.
God wants the same intensity from me everyday. Not just one weekend a year.
My comfort zone is nothing compared to someone's eternity.
I'm SPENT because...
I've had 11 hours sleep the last three days. It's all good. These students are worth it!

#JLY (0)
After my last post, we had over three dozen "tweets" commit to being a part of "Jesus Loves You" day on Twitter. I thought I'd share a few tidbits...
Close to a thousand tweets were posted using the #jly hashtag (a hashtag allows Twitter to track what's being talked about).
In a 24 hour span, the words "Jesus Loves You" were written close to 4,000 times.
#JLY peaked as the #77 trending topic on Twitter (most talked about in a 6 hour span).
I received 4 direct messages (private messages between users) from people I've never met who wanted to know why we were doing this.
Shared the Gospel with all 4!
My goal was to get the phrase "Jesus Loves You" into the top 10 trending topics. That would have allowed everyone on Twitter to read those words. No, that goal wasn't accomplished, but I know of 4 people who heard the Gospel (on Twitter). Besides, what an amazing accomplishment for three dozen people to get that phrase into the top 100. I'm sure people took notice of what was done.
We'll never really know what type of impact this day had. What we do know is that when Christ is lifted up, people will be drawn to Him. Let's keep lifting him up at work, in the car, at the gas station, on the golf course, and even on the internet. When the Gospel is preached, lives are changed!
